Dear families,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Side By Side Music<\/span><\/a> has opened registration for its virtual music tutoring for the fall and spring. Side by Side Arts is a youth-led, virtual music tutoring program through El Sistema USA. Their team of high school tutors provides free music education to students primarily in ESUSA programs nationwide through masterclasses; private lessons; and group classes in music theory, underrepresented composers, conducting, and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Fall Session<\/span><\/p>

12 weeks (1-3 hrs\/wk)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Students Not Returning to TPMS: Please Return Your Instrument<\/b><\/p>

This is a reminder for all students not returning to TPMS next year (including seniors) that instruments must be returned. Each family and student signed a contract to acknowledge TPMS was lending your child an instrument. IMPORTANT: If your student is participating in Blues Fest or a summer music camp (and won\u2019t be returning to TPMS or is a senior), they can keep their instrument until the camp\/performance is over. Questions? Please contact your program manager.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Summer Break Practice Challenge<\/b><\/p>

All TPMS students are invited to participate in our summer break practice challenge! The challenge is to practice 30 times for 30 minutes between June 1st and the start of fall semester. Pick up a tracker in person or you can print the<\/span> practice tracker<\/span><\/a> yourself.<\/span><\/p>

Service Hour Reports<\/b> End of the Year Service Hour reports will be sent this summer. Stay tuned for more information.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Summer Program Offerings<\/b><\/p>

This summer at TPMS we will be supporting many students who have auditioned and been accepted for placement at amazing music camps across the country. TPMS will be subsidizing a portion of the cost for these hard working students\u2019 tuition, room & board, and other fees required for participation in these special experiences. While we will not be holding our own summer camp program this year, <\/span>please stay tuned for more information about our piano intensive, any free summer recitals, community meet-ups, and other special events we may hold.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

Summer Jazz Academy June 15 – 26<\/b><\/p>

Register for Chicago Jazz Philharmonic\u2019s Summer Jazz Academy taking place June 15-26, Monday – Friday, 8:45-3pm. All music levels welcome! <\/span>Students who participate in TPMS automatically qualify for our reduced tuition rate of $275. (And students can also still apply for scholarship). Use the code TPMS in the tuition section when registering.<\/b><\/p>
