While we would love to accept every instrument, our instrument repair budget is limited. We can only accept instruments if they fit the following criteria:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instruments must have all parts in working condition with no significant physical damage (i.e. no holes, big dents, cracks, missing cases, etc)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cases should be emptied out and relatively clean<\/span><\/li><li><b>We have an immediate need for more band and orchestra instruments, especially violins, clarinets and trombones.<\/b><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e276bd3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e276bd3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately,<strong> we do not accept piano donations<\/strong> due to the size and cost to move and tune. However, there is a wonderful organization called the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pianofortechicago.com\/foundation\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pianoforte Foundation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that accepts piano donations to provide to Chicago Public Schools.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9ace7c6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9ace7c6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>We would accept 88- key electronic keyboards<\/strong> so long as it fits the following criteria: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The keyboard is is functioning and playable AND t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">he keyboard has all of the cables and accessories.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-210963c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"210963c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>We would accept electronic drum kits<\/strong>\u00a0so long as it fits the following criteria: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The kit is functioning and playable AND has the correct cables and accessories. Founded in 1976 by Dr. Rita Sim\u00f3, a Juilliard-trained pianist from the Dominican Republic, the legacy of tuition-free music education began in a repurposed barber shop, until a vacant lot on a residential block in Uptown eventually became its permanent home.<\/p><p>At The People\u2019s Music School, we set high expectations for all students.
