\"OctoberWe are proud to announce that sixteen members of the Youth Orchestras program<\/a> have gained acceptance to the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras!<\/p>\n

Thirteen students auditioned and were selected, while three joined the all-inclusive steel drum program. “It’s an honor to be there. We got scholarships because we came from The People’s Music School,” says Alexa Bucio. “I’m learning a lot,” says Betty Pina. “We go more in depth with the music,” says Melanie Moran, and Litzy Bucio says, “We get to meet people from all over Chicago!”<\/p>\n

Congratulations to oboists Chester James and Clarence James, violinists Alexia Bucio, Melanie Moran, Sheila Esquivel, Adeline Alday, and Jonathan Alday, percussionist Enrique Colita, bassists Betty Pina, Ariel Burns, and Jason Soto, cellist Litzy Bucio, and steel drumists Danielle Colita, Ysabel Colita and Julia Soto.<\/p>\n
