People’s Music School Performs at Blues Fest

We are excited to be performing as part of Chicago’s 2026 Blues Fest! We’ll be performing at Wrigley Square from 3-3:45pm as part of the Next Generation of Blues lineup. Stop by to hear some of our advanced music students perform beloved blues and jazz pieces!

The nation’s largest free blues fest returns this year with a citywide lineup honoring Chicago’s blues legacy, while highlighting established musicians and the next generation of blues performers. The festival begins Thursday, June 4, at Ramova Theatre in Bridgeport with an opening night program, followed by three days of performances June 5–7 at Millennium Park. All performances in Millennium Park are free and open to the public.

We are excited to be performing as part of the Next Generation of Blues lineup, featuring young musicians from Walter H. Dyett High School for the Arts, Chicago West Community Music Center, Curie Metro High School, Kenwood Academy High School, Meaza Joy, and VanderCook College of Music.

The People’s Music School, a 501(c) (3), is Chicago’s oldest and largest 100% tuition-free music school. Our mission is to deliver access to the benefits of high-quality, tuition-free music education. Through intensive instruction and performance, our students achieve excellence in music that transfers to other areas in life. They grow musically, socially, emotionally and intellectually, and develop a foundation of responsibility, self-esteem, resilience and purpose.
