Albany Park New Student Open House

Attending an in-person open house is REQUIRED in order to enroll your child in The People’s Music School for the 2026-27 school year. No registration is required to attend this open house. You can simply walk in the day of the open house.
The People’s Music School offers high quality, after-school tuition-free music education to school aged children in Chicago who would otherwise would face financial barriers to access. Based on a student’s age, we offer classes in general music, instrumental studies, music theory, and a variety of ensembles. The People’s Music School calendar runs from September to June. Our programs run after school Monday through Friday and on the weekend.
Students enrolled in our program will:
- Attend after school classes 2 days a week for up to 4 hours. We hold classes after school M-F and Saturday 9am-5pm.
- Participate in performances throughout the school year
- Take part in engaging masterclasses with guest artists
- Gain skills through participating in our intensive music program that will benefit them throughout their life
